ART FOR EVERY ABILITY
The dream is still there.
The path can change.
We're building painting machines that people with disabilities can control in their own way. It started with one machine Cesar built for himself.

OUR MISSION
Everyone Deserves to Create Art.
Save a Stolen Dream wants every person with a disability to be able to make art and share it with the world.
We're developing painting machines that adapt to each person, by voice, eye gaze, switch or joystick, so anyone can paint their own way.
OUR PROGRAM
Abstract Freedom

The First Machine
A concept Cesar built for himself with help from Easterseals Massachusetts. He has made 50+ paintings with it.
What It Proved
Someone who can't paint by hand can still make real, original art.
What's Next
Gen2 is being built now so Cesar can perfect it, using voice control. Then we'll build more for others.

Watch the first Abstract Beast at work.

The Desire to Create Never Left.
Cesar Rodrigues has spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). It took away his ability to paint by hand, but not his love of art.
With help from Easterseals Massachusetts, he built the first Abstract Beast. Since then, he has made more than 50 paintings.
Now we want every person with a disability to have the same chance to paint.
OUR STORY
Opening night, Constellations in Color and Form, New York, 2019.
THE ART
Real Paintings Made with Abstract Beast.
Every color, line and choice belongs to the artist. The machine just helps.
